Tracklisting
1. Summer in the House of Confessions
2. Autumn came the Fall
3. Winter and the Storytell
4. Spring and its Offering

Released back in April of 2010, we’re regretting not having heard this EP earlier. Although its packaging lists only four tracks, there is a special hidden string introduction that emanates a calm before the storm that is ‘Seasons.’

Opening track ‘Summer in the House of Confessions’ has a powerful edge to it, helped along by the gruff, Kings of Leon-esque vocals of Leon Stanford, which get surprisingly softer whenever the chorus kicks in. On paper, the track sounds like it shouldn’t work, but as it moves from indie boy rock to ballad pop, you realise that it works tremendously.

‘Autumn Came The Fall’ feels a little more structured, and when the shattering guitars kick in, it’s obvious that Tiger Please have the potential to join the big guns of rock music.

‘Winter and the Storyteller’ is yet another gem from Tiger Please, working intricate guitar riffs with the blur of Lewis Rowsell’s drum beats makes for a heart skipping up-tempo track, laced with emotion and feelings from Leon. The track is larger than life, the anthem of the EP and one that can fill any room with an atmosphere so tense that nobody could ignore it.

‘Spring and It’s Offering’ finishes off the EP nicely. It is possibly the strongest song of the four and shows the band in yet another light. Throughout ‘Seasons’, a mixture of genres are thrown wildly at the listener and it’s hard to label Tiger Please as a specific one. This works in the band’s favour however, as wherever they go, they will clearly fit in and appeal to the masses.
