Support: Enjoy Destroy & The Future

The first support band of the night were Enjoy Destroy. Their sound didnt really set well with the audience who barely moved throughout their entire set but they pushed through and by the end, they had a few audience members cheering for them.

The second support band were Welsh lads, The Future, who brought pure ground shaking metal to the Ski Lodge. Fed up with being crammed on the tiniest of stages, the lead singer was constantly making his way into the arms of the crowd, injuring a few girls on the front row in the process.
They put on a solid performance which had the crowd going absolutely mental for them and which also prepared them for the chaos to come with Aiden.

After a little wait and a bit of chanting from the audience, Aiden finally graced the stage to masses of screams from the girls who were lining the front 3 rows.
They launched straight into an energetic and absolutely intense set, which saw the the band members whirling around the stage in a complete blur and the bodies of the audience members being thrown around the venue like rag dolls.
Band and audience members were regularly launching themselves off the top of the amp stacks like missiles, egged on by the baying crowd.

The guys played a good collection of songs from Our Gangs Dark Oath and Nightmare Anatomy which caused mass sing-a-longs from the crowd. In the mix, the guys threw in quite a few new tracks which went down brilliantly.
There were often long moments between songs where the guys would just play instrumentals, or WiL would chat to the audience; I'm all for crowd interaction, but maybe if it was toned down a little, a few more songs could have been slotted into the set list.

The chants from the crowd for an encore made the venue walls rumble and persuaded Aiden to come out once more for an encore of which they played Die Romantic and World By Storm.
Its always an amazing sound to hear an audience singing the words of a song at the tops of their voices and one sound that was the perfect ending to an incredible set.

There was no usual wall of death tonight, which was probably a good idea seeing as the audience had already broken the barrier, but WiL, as usual made his way into the crowd, using their hands as stepping stones during the last song.

The gig tonight was one of the most craziest I've ever been too. Everyone was there purely to have a good time and listen to an absolutely brilliant band play a club. Clubs were where the band were born and, like WiL mentioned during the night, are where they will die.
