With the current trend of new acts that flow in and out of your life via the internet you may be forgiven for being cynical when another one is recommended to you, but fear not my friends, because these guys actually deserve a chance to be heard. Star Chamber's music is sure to get your heart bumping and body moving with tracks like 'Where's my joy' which combines gritty riffs and catchy lyrics that are nothing short of addictive. They show the more softer side of their music with songs such as 'Landmarks' which makes you wanna drive your car down some long road in the summer sun, just so you have enough time to listen to it at least a few hundred times. With some far more upbeat and 'get up and move' stuff ('Radio Edit') which are played with great ease and are wonderful to listen to.

The fact that these guys show clear confidence by placing a mix up of track styles on one EP is just another reason why they are one to watch. They blend together their collective influences and styles to produce a sound that may not be found in the general main stream as of yet but perhaps will find a place soon enough, with these fellows helping shape its form.

My personal favourite would have to be 'Where's my joy' because it just has a this fantastic hook that draws you in and forces you to keep listening to it on repeat, something that only a few bands have made me want to do.

With a sound that has vibes of both classic rock with a contempary edge, many 'big name acts' should take note of as they could have some interesting competition from this four piece group. I find myself listening to their tracks and craving more. Their collection of songs from the 'Part One' Ep are certainly worth a play on any music fans player, which will only leave you asking when the next part will arrive.

8/10
