Originally from St Austell, Penzance and Norwhich, the band were actually formed while studying at Plymouth University. They have been quoted as 'the best new band in the country' by no other than Muse frontman himself, Matt Bellamy.
'Persuasive' starts the EP with an acoustic sound and soft, well produced vocals. The chorus begins to build up with a hurried cluster of guitars and that final kick into the heart of the song. The acoustic sound pops in again but towards the end of the song it becomes a huge frenzy of riffs. This song will keep anyone who is listening to it, on their toes as the sound is constantly being switched up to keep the listener interested. One minute theres acoustic guitars and soft vocals, the next minute you want to jump into the mosh pit while it's playing.
An acoustic start again for track number 2, 'Forever.' The song has a pretty epic sound to it once the chorus arrives but sounds a little like a watered down Muse track. However, it becomes bigger and better the longer it plays. The ending of the song is the most powerful ending I've ever heard, the vocals are well polished and the music is of stadium sized quality.
The vocals on 'Nobody Gets Away' could be mistaken for those of Coldplay frontman, Chris Martin when you first listen to this track. This is a quality pop track consisting of rambuctious guitar riffs which are backed up by simple lyrics and incredible vocal talent.
Meeky Rosie were the winners of Zane Lowe's Radio 1 Fresh Meat competition and thats just the start, Meeky Rosie aren't just a little Indie band anymore, they have huge potential to be the band everyones talking about this year.
