Plymouth Pavillions - The Get Happy Tour - Friday 26th October 2007

Doors open at 6.40pm, must be because its going to be a good night full of excellent music, I thought to myself and I was indeed correct.
The evenings entertainment kicked off with Army of Freshmen, double keyboards and enough energy to keep the 2000 odd teenagers entertained for their short set. However in general the music did not grab me as being the thing of sing along anthemic dreams.

Up next were Zebrahead, now I must admit some bias on their behalf as I have seen them 4 times and they always put in a good show and get the crowd energised, tonight was no exception.
A whirlwind roller coaster ride through their hits and we were left wanting more. Highlights of their set include, ‘Anthem’ and ‘Postcards From Hell’.

After a short delay The Bloodhound Gang took to the stage, showing signs of last night of the tour weariness they chugged their way through their most memorable tunes and about half a bottle of Jagermeister each before ending on their best known song ‘Bad Touch’.

Headliners for this evening Bowling For Soup amble onto the stage and put in a stellar performance. They are certainly at the top of the pop punk tree.
They were joined on numerous occasions by members of The Bloodhound Gang, one suspects last night of the tour tomfoolery. Their best known songs were well received and they played well after the 11pm curfew.

All in all, a good night was had by everyone and one suspects that given the choice they will repeat it next year and that would be good news for the bands and the fans alike.
The closing remarks from main man Jaret were did you get happy? At that point 2000 voices screamed "hell yeah."
