For a band only having released their debut album 2 years ago, they have come a long way in such a short time. Their sound, a unique mix of 'punk', 'hardcore' and 'gothic,' was dubbed 'Horror Rock' by the band, unable to catergorise their sound into any other label.

The album begins with 'Knife Blood Nightmare,' a fast, upbeat and violent song depicting many images of death. The song begins with a heavy punch from guitars and pounding vocals, getting straight into the song, leaving no time for any listener to prepare.
A catchy chorus follows, no doubt one that a crowd are able to sing along too with no problem. The ripping guitar riffs and vocals are really what makes this song brilliant, whilst listening carefully, the lyrics are easily made out, a story of a troubled pastlife frontman Will Francis has lead.

Track 4, Breathless, a firm favourite of mine from the album begins much slower than any of the others. The lyrics, about what seems to be their favourite subject, death. There are much less harsh vocals in this song and much more smoother melodies making it easier for people to hear the lyrics and imagine the story behind them.
Unlike many of the other tracks, there are no complimentary guitar riffs to end this one, just easy on the ear vocals which end the song perfectly with the line 'diclosed and vacant eyes decieve thee, they've come to take me, without words and silence..'

Towards the end of the album, the songs are still as powerful and violent as they were at the beginning. The last track on the album, 'See You In Hell' includes vocals from all members of the band, which you can see being created on the extra footage that comes with the album. The song perfectly closes the album and makes way for what we hope, will be a third. However, once you think the song is finished, a voice begins talking, stating definitions of 'Nightmare,' and using eery music and voices in the background which gives the sense of what this band is really about, a dark past that has clearly influenced the makings of this album.
